Hi! Our players have shown interest in the previous version of the trailer and here we are. Let's take a closer look at it and find out its story - it's not as simple as it sounds!

As for the trailer itself, it was created back in the olden days, and moreover, it was made by our artist! He offered to help, and we said yes, because we had been working with him for a long time already, but not on SlutCraft, but on Camelot: The Game — our first game. After that our paths diverged, but he did a lot for the project. Unfortunately, our partnership came to an end.
But on the bright side, it's thanks to him that our logo was born. He was the one who visualized it and even animated it! And guys, this is not a simple animation, each frame was drawn separately, without any animation tools, the hardcore way!
When the trailer of our first version of the game came out, we immediately had a lot of new players. The video did well on YouTube, a lot of people found out about us, and some even still support the project. To all our veterans we send our regards and deepest bows; we couldn't have done it all without you. Thank you for your support over the years! ❤️🔥
The trailer itself, as you might have guessed, was just an announcement of the game…Yes, it's simple. But in fact it was a blast: we remember it like it was yesterday, so many new reviews, so many new people and so many new emotions. The trailer served faithfully, truthfully, and, of course, as a promotional project for a long time, until the video got a strike... Right from ActivisionBlizzard, which wasn’t a total surprise for the team. However, the strike was actually from some third-party company, which acted in the interest of the rightsholder. With a little googling, we found out that the third-party company was somehow associated with Denuvo, which was something new at the time.
The reason behind the strike were the names of the characters that were mentioned in the game's debut trailer. This was considered to be an infringement of intellectual property, which was a violation of their rights.However, they did not take into account that SlutCraft is a parody, and is distributed for free, and does so to this day. In spite of this, the video was removed by YouTube. We didn't appeal, of course. We already knew it was hopeless, and they wouldn't bring the video back. So we went a different way.
Shadow Portal Team decided to remake the trailer without using names. But due to the high load while working on the game (and not just the game) and the loss of some charm of the trailer, we abandoned the idea. And then things got twisted, time passed, and suddenly it was years later, and we realized that we needed to make a new trailer - it was a necessity. Especially since we now had so many talented people and so much new content to showcase.
So that's the story we wanted to share. And now the most important question! Ready to compare which trailer turned out better? It's up to you!
